(*) Student’s file transfer: Upon registration, Universidad Isabel I will send the student an admission letter to be taken to the sending university in order to proceed with the student’s file transfer. Once the paperwork done, the student must send the Secretariat the fee-payment receipt or similar document provided by the sending university.

Access from foreign education systems

  • From EU countries and countries with international agreements
    • Passport-size picture
    • Valid ID card (passport, etc.)
    • Students holding a university degree or with unfinished university studies and 30 ECTS is recognised. Documents needed: transcript (original document or attested copy in Spain or in diplomatic offices. A sworn translation of the document is compulsory (original or attested copy).
    • Students holding a university degree or with unfinished university studies but without 30 ECTS recognised. An access certificate must be requested at UNED and sent to Universidad Isabel I (attested copy).
    • Students without a university degree but with access to university studies as per legislation in their country of origin. An access certificate must be requested at UNED and sent to Universidad Isabel I (attested copy).
    • Students whose degree has been validated as equivalent to a Spanish Official Degree Diploma: validation certificate (original document or attested copy).
    • Students holding a qualification recognised as equivalent to Upper-Secondary Education in Spain (recognition certificate; original document or attested copy).
    • Students whose main language is not Spanish must prove language competence in Spanish at B2 level (CEFR). An official certificate or a diploma issued by our School of Languages is required.
    • Signed enrollment form.
  • Students from countries without international agreements

To enroll on the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, students need to prove competence at B1 level (CEFR) in a foreign language.

A sworn translation is required if the document is not in Spanish (original translation or attested copy).

Recognition of credits

To request a credit recognition study (after contact with university advisor):

  • Transcript and Official Degree Diploma (if applicable)
  • Transcript and Higher Diploma in Vocational Training (if applicable)
  • Master’s degree diploma or university course certificates (over 100 hours) (**).
  • If the student has professional experience related to the field of study:
  • Up to date work history.
  • Employer certificate stating duties and responsibilities related to the field of study.
  • Employment contract.
  • Professional service record.

(**) non-university courses or courses under 100 hours will not be taken into account for recognition.

  • Note 1: To request a credit recognition study, each document must be sent in a separate file named after the document required.
  • Note 2: For a credit-recognition resolution to be effectively implemented, upon enrolment, students must send to the university all original documents (or attested copies) leading to credit-recognition, along with documents required for enrolment by registered mail.
