Objectives and competences

The pre-enrolment process is already available. It is not possible to enrol new students because the Degree accreditation renewal is pending a final resolution.


The main objective of this degree is to provide students with broad, high quality and up-to-date training in Physical Activity and Sport Science within a professional international environment.

The general objectives of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences include:

  • To qualify students to efficiently work with people with any kind of physical or intellectual disability, and people with special needs by providing comprehensive solutions beyond physical activity.
  • To qualify skilled professionals within the field of physical activity and sport, capable of working to integrate people at risk of social exclusion, especially children.
  • To provide students with knowledge about the structure and functioning of the human body. To develop skills to scientifically design, manage, assess, and adapt various physical training and health-oriented programmes for any social group.
  • To qualify skilled professionals able to plan, develop, and monitor training activities to enhance physical performance in sports and in personal training.
  • To qualify skilled professionals to promote and assess active life and sport habits among students or other groups.
  • To promote the development of an ethical professional attitude towards human rights, gender equality, non-discrimination, accessibility for people with disability, democratic values, and a culture of peace.
