Guided learning: learning community (Aula Virtual)
|Guided learning (case study)||Activities in which students learn collaboratively working on a given real or simulated background. It is a first approach to issues to be studied in the Degree in Primary Education.|
|Interaction and collaboration activities (discussion fora to support case studies and unit content)||Activities to discuss and reflect upon various issues related to the unit content within the Degree in Primary Education. These activities also contribute to guide students through their learning.|
|Practical implementation activities (group work – online)||Problem solving, Project creation and activities requiring the implementation of concepts, processes and attitudes worked on in the Degree in Primary Education.|
|Assignments||Joint submission through the online platform and, when appropriate, online defence of assignments following instructions included in the syllabi within the Degree in Primary Education.|
|Workshops||Face-to-face or online sessions, small-group workshops on specific issues in the courses included in the Degree in Primary Education.|

Guided learning: student individual work
|Student individual work (unit content study)||Individual study of course content and materials within the Degree in Primary Education. A Q&A forum is available for questions and knowledge building through discussions and problem solving.|
|Practical implementation activities (student individual work)||Individual work by students in the Degree in Primary Education towards problem solving, project creation and similar activities requiring the implementation of concepts, processes and attitudes developed in the course.|
|Critical reading, analysis and research||Students in the Degree in Primary Education will apply a critical approach to different fields of study as a first step towards research. Book reviews, article reviews or research projects.|
Two different assessment systems can apply to students in the degree in Degree in Primary Education, adapted to individual circumstances and training needs:
- Assessment system 1. Continuous assessment + end-of-course test:
- 1. 60% of the final course grade is gained through continuous assessment course assignments. Students’ ID will be verified at the end-of-course test.
- 2. 40% of the course grade will be based on the end-of-course exam, where knowledge and competences acquired through the course will be tested. It will also serve as an ID check.
- Assessment system 2. Test on acquired competences + end-of-course test:
- 50% of the final grade will be based on the mark obtained in the Test on acquired competences. This test aims at assessing to what extent students have developed and acquired the competences linked to the course.
- 50% of the course grade will be based on the end-of-course exam, where knowledge and competences acquired through the course will be tested. It will also serve as an ID check.
